It's my first time in the United Kingdom, and all my friends told me I had to try an authentic "chippy" to get an order of fish and chips.
In the center of town on high Street, I found this place. There's a small seating area inside, just big enough for a few (maybe four) people. Everyone in line was just getting food to go, so I joined the queue. I walked in, stood in line, and then made my order; "fish and chips, please".
Fish and chips went in the fryer, and I started salivating at the thought of my first bite of authentic British fish and chips. When my order started to come up, I was quite confused. There is no way that much food was for a single order of fish and chips... but I was sadly mistaken. The portions here are absolutely gargantuan.
Everything was fresh, piping hot, and delicious. I'm willing to book another trip back to England just so I could revisit this place! -

We chose this place over a restaurant close by because it smelt so delicious. Excellent service and very kind workers. Better as a to go meal as the seating is slim but the food is delicious and the portions are extremely generous!

This is the best chippie I have found in the South of England! It was so fresh and delicious. The chips were cooked to perfection! The batter on the fish was amazing too! Can't wait to go back for more.

This is a fish and chip shop. The food is always very fresh and nice. The staff are very freindly and always have a chat whilst you wait. You can aslo choose to sit down and eat at the back of the restaurant if you choose. The food is very reasonably priced. It is very easy to park right outside the shop. We always use this shop as it is well priced and the food is always very good.

This is situated at the end of the high street and the food is delicious, it sells everything you would expect from a fish and chip shop though it is so popular they sometimes run out and you may have to wait. It is worth the wait though as never had a bad chip from them
